Assistant Brand Manager - Havana Club International - Street Culture (F/H)

As a dynamic & growing brand, Havana Club International has identified the need for an Assistant Brand Manager trainee based in Paris to operate within the International Marketing Delivery TeamThe Delivery Team is responsible for providing local marketing teams with the assets necessary to activate the Havana Club brand in the on-trade, off-trade and online, and for supporting the implementation of those activation assets via close collaboration with local marketing teams.

      • Working with the Senior Brand Manager and Brand Manager, you will support the development of BTL activation assets (such as POS materials and digital content) to promote Havana Club’s signature drinks and appeal to a new generation of rum consumers
        • You will support and work directly with local marketing teams to ensure the Havana Club drinks strategy and associated 360° marketing campaigns are implemented and well-executed at market level
        • For applicants with a design background, you will have the opportunity to be actively involved in the creative development of brand assets and materials (an “in-house design agency” resource)
        • You will provide valuable insights and feedback for the team on what it means to be part of “Generation Z” (those born after 1990 & of legal drinking age) – a key consumer target to secure the brand’s future
        • You will offer general office support to the wider Delivery Team, including the Delivery Director & Marketing Manager


        - You will co-operate with other HCI teams, including those based in Cuba & those sharing our Paris office.  - You will also work with Pernod Ricard local market teams for developing and implementing Havana Club drink strategy and associated 360° marketing campaigns, with HCI Brand Ambassadors, with Pernod Ricard Global Business Development and Legal Teams …- You will have contact with design agencies, artists and freelancers, experiential and event agencies, bar tenders and bar owners …

Technical Functional Skills and Knowledge Preferred

        • Strong creative & entrepreneurial mindset : demonstrate fresh-thinking & innovation in work on brand activation projects
        • “Hands on” project management support : be an energetic team player & willing to get highly involved to assist Senior Brand Manager & Brand Manager see projects through to completion, respecting deadlines
        • Inquisitive, Generation Z perspective : be passionate about brands, industry, digital & consumer trends.  Give a fresh, youth-oriented input on team projects
        • Interest in “Street Culture” : show an understanding and appreciation of street culture which is becoming a major cultural reference for Generation Z
        • Excellent communication skills : written & verbal, for effective dealings with internal & external partners
        • (Optional) Digital/Design skills : opportunity to be an “in-house” design resource if you have the relevant skills 



Work experience / technical competencies :

        • Business School student, studying Marketing OR
        • Design, Arts, Digital…
        • Computer skills : Powerpoint (excellent), Word & Excel (good), Photoshop & other design software (bonus)

Languages required :

        • English - essential
        • French & Spanish are highly advantageous to work effectively with teams in Paris & Havana
